KIMS Microfinance (KIMS) has announced the appointment of Mr. Mohamed Abdirahman as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and member of its Board of Directors effective 1st /09/2018.Add paragraph text here.

Mr. Abdirahman has held posts in the East African financial sector for the past fifteen years, seven of which were in senior managerial roles in Islamic financial institutions including the last four years as CEO of one of the largest Islamic microfinance institutions in the region.

Mr. Abdirahman takes over the reins of KIMS Microfinance from Mr. Abdullahi Awad, the company’s founding CEO who successfully led KIMS from its launch in 2014 to its current position as the microfinance market leader in Somalia.

Reacting to this new appointment KIMS Microfinance Chairman Mr. Mustafa Ali said

“As KIMS Microfinance enters a new phasein its growth we are delighted to welcome Mohamed Abdiraham to the institution. Mohamed offers a wealth of experience in running a market leading Islamic microfinance institution in the region and we look forward to drawing on his expertise to further expand on KIMS historic successes.”

Of the decision to appoint him Mohamed Abdirahman said “I am honoured and exited to be part of an institution that delivers high quality and innovative sharia compliant financial services to the Somali people.
